With its new design for the sub-megawatt class of wind turbines, WINDnovation is looking for new markets. Main targets are off-grid applications and remote areas and islands.

The new turbine technology focuses on components made mainly in the target markets, installation of the turbines with local know-how and smart energy storage in partnership with Freqcon GmbH, a German specialist in power electronics. The first product is a 200kW Direct Drive wind turbine with a 40m hub height and two rotor sizes for medium and low wind speed sites.

In order to promote the new products, WINDnovation is presenting the technology at the following special events featuring small and mid-size renewable energy sources for grid-integrated, off-grid or low-grid applications:
